From The President by Bob Rose
This is the first newsletter that has been released since I’ve been elected to my new position so I wanted to take this moment to introduce myself to our community and let you know of some changes the board and I have already made.
I grew up in a small town in Connecticut but I have lived my entire adult life in Oregon. Before moving to Eugene I lived in Corvallis for 15 years. It was in 2008 that my family and I moved to West Eugene Village. One of the reasons we chose this community was the peacefulness of the neighborhood. Thankfully, it still remains a wonderful place to live and I’m glad to see so many of my neighbors take pride in their homes. I absolutely love living in Eugene. Some of my favorite things to do in the area are going to live music shows, visiting the local wineries and exploring nature by camping or day hikes. If you see me walking around the neighborhood please feel free to say hi and introduce yourself. I would love to get to know you!
Well, Spring is upon us which means more sunshine and warmer days. But the weather is not the only thing changing. The HOA has also made some changes. For the last few months the location of our monthly meeting has switched from a resident’s home to a meeting space at Kalapuya High School. One of the reasons I wanted to make this change was to encourage our residents to attend more meetings. I am pleased to say the attendance has gone up since we made this change. I want to thank everyone that has made it to our meetings and I would love to see this trend continue, so please join us! We meet the 3rd Thursday of every month at 7pm.
One other change to mention: to improve communication between the board and our residents, we will be installing message boards at all the mailbox kiosks. On those boards you will see information about meetings and special announcements. We should have those boards up within the next couple of weeks.
If you have any concerns or questions, always feel free to let the board know. We are here to represent you!
